I was supposed to post two weeks ago, but with the Christmas rush and wedding...it got pushed to the back burner.
Clear back on November 6 McKenna was baptized. Paul and Tina and Mom and Dad made the trip to our house for the weekend of her baptism. It was a great weekend, made even more special by family sharing it with us.
Friday we went to Monticello, the University, and Carters Mountain Apple Orchard...one of our favorite fall traditions here.

It was a little late in the season, so pickings were a little slim...but with the apple picking sticks we could still reach some.

Saturday morning was the baptism. McKenna was so excited and ready. She took this decision very seriously; reading The Book of Mormon and praying to find out if it was true.

Bret baptized her and Dad confirmed her a member of the Church and gave her the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Bret's mom gave a wonderful talk on become a member of God's kingdom and how McKenna was a princess in His Kingdom. She talked about how princess's act, talk, dress, and treat other people and gave McKenna a tiara.
Tina gave a great talk on the Holy Ghost and how in a rain storm an umbrella protects us from the rain. She talked about all the different ways the Holy Ghost can bless our lives; each different way being a ray of the sun.

It was a wonderful baptism. Very personal and special for McKenna. McKenna had lots of friends from church that came and supported her as well as a friend from school that she had invited to come.
Grandma of course read lots of books to the kids

And Zachary and Brendan got lots of good boy cousin time in wrestling and playing video games.

It was a fun weekend and we really appreciated that family made the trip to spend it with us.
Looks like some great times! McKenna looks so beautiful! Congratulations on her baptism. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Thanks for the hot chocolate machine. We love it!!

We are going to go through withdrawls. I just posted but I don't think it went through so I am trying again. If you get both sorry. We love you all and miss you. Lets come up with an excuse to get together again. Love you
